 We adjusted a corner and there in the street basically directly before us were the painted types of a pack of wild pooches. Their Mickey Mouse ears swiveled as our safari truck sputtered to a stop, and a couple got up, the cushioned white tips of their tails rippling in the light wind.

"I've been on safari in excess of multiple times," my companion David said before me, "and I have never been sufficiently fortunate to see these folks previously."
